The mental health field has been an important part of my life for the last 13 years. I have completed a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Brock University, and a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology Degree from Yorkville University.
I use a client-centered approach, which means my focus is on learning to understand my client's world from their perspective. I trust that you are the expert of your own life, and I am here to help you realize your potential. I also use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) based interventions to help ensure you have the tools you need in order to succeed.
Therapy is a process, the goal is to help you become the best possible version of yourself and improve the quality of your life.
Everyone struggles with their mental health at some point in their lifetime, and my goal is to help individuals learn how to navigate their mental health journeys. My educational background stems from a Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Sciences from Brock University, and a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counselling from Niagara University.
As each person’s mental health journey is different, so is my approaches to treatment. I use client-centered approaches to ensure each client’s treatment is tailored to their individual goals and needs. My goal is to ensure that the therapeutic process is a relationship between my clients and I, as they know more about their lives that I do. My job is to help offer new perspectives and strategies to help each person meet their individual goals. To ensure this, I utilize evidence-based practices including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy modalities.
Therapy is centered around the therapeutic relationship between the therapist and the client. My goal is to ensure that each client feels safe and supported through the therapeutic process, so they are able to achieve their goals.
Reaching out for support is an act of courage, and I’m here to walk with you as you navigate life’s challenges. Whether you’re feeling unseen, overwhelmed, misunderstood, or weighed down by life’s pressures, you don’t have to face it alone.
My goal is to help you make sense of your disconnection, negative thoughts, or lost sense of "you," helping you feel more grounded, confident, and connected. In a caring, judgment-free space, we’ll explore your emotions and experiences, finding the clarity and tools you need to move forward.
I take a modern yet intimate, humanistic and client-centered approach to therapy, where your strengths and unique experiences guide the work we do together. My goal is to help you heal, grow, and reconnect with the person you truly are. To do this, I draw from a variety of therapeutic modalities, including Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), mindfulness practices, and trauma-focused interventions. This blend of approaches ensures that our work together is tailored to your individual needs and goals.
With a background in Psychology and Human Resource Management, I also bring a deep understanding of workplace stress, career transitions, and the impact of professional life on mental health. I also understand that balancing the demands of home and work life while caring for yourself can feel incredibly challenging. My experience in employee wellness and talent management helps me offer unique insights into balancing both personal and career challenges, creating space for lasting growth and resilience.
